I would like to propose an unofficial meetup to the Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden on Sunday, April 29th.

Anyone interested? If so, I will post a place/time to meet in Manhattan to take the subway to the garden en masse.

MEETUP DIRECTIONS

Sunday, April 29th

For those of us taking the subway from Manhattan, let's meet at 10:30am at the North-West Corner of 42nd Street and 7th Avenue (Times Square stop of the 2/3). I'll be wearing a light blue coat and carrying a ridiculously heavy camera. We will then take the 2/3 to the Eastern Parkway stop.

We will meetup all others at the Eastern Parkway entrance to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden between 11:00am and 11:15am. I propose we meet inside the Garden's entrance.

Please let me know if you plan on meeting at the subway or the Garden.

I have wanted to go this event since I haven't been in a couple of years. So, I am interested. Please post further details like time and exact meeting spot.

Sounds good. I was thinking about going. I propose that the group heading from Manhattan also meet up others at the garden, since it easier for some of us to go straight to the garden.

I agree. This weekend I'll figure out a central location in Manhattan and we'll add a meetup time at the garden too, so we can all go together.

Sounds good to me :) I live relatively close to it, and will plan on just meeting everyone there if thats alright...can we also set up a place inside the gardens to meet for that purpose?

I would love to do this. I went on the meetup a few months back we had there and it was a lovely location. We had talked about there being an official meetup to go there in the Spring, wondering why there's no meetups scheduled yet for April or May?

I have gone the last two years. I will be going again, but it depends on the weather.

This works out perfectly for me. I live on 42nd St. and 11th Ave. I will take the M42 to the 7th Ave. subway station and meet you on the platform.
