The first class will address all the basics and how you can build your own lighting setup reasonably, without the need to spend $500+ on equipment you'll only use once in a while.

This workshop will be free for members who have paid their dues. If your dues have not been paid, the charge will be $15 at the door, or $10.00 in advance.

IMPORTANT: I will be discussing how many people the building will comfortably hold, then limit the classes by that number, 1st come, 1st served, so please remember to RSVP if you're planning on attending. If your plans change, please update your RSVP to someone else can attend.

Who attended?

    •  Fantastic! The best workshop ever. Jim did a super job explaining the various lighting equipment including why, when, and how they're used. He also explained the pros and cons about using each type of light. He was a great speaker using no "techie" jargon in simple, easy to understand terms without talking down to our group. He was well prepared, had all the shots with him that he needed to demonstrate the effects of each light setup. Jim also taught us how to economically setup a studio without having to spend a fortune. It was a wonderful experience having him there, and I'm looking forward to the next workshop with him. Loyce

    •  Jim was very informative and helpful and it was nice to meet some of the other members.
    •  Very well done. A subject of obvious interest to many, Jim presented basics of lighting in a simple, straightforward manner. Great to hear it from a working pro!
