- I live in St. Pete and consider myself an intermediate photographer. I like to photograph mainly landscapes and nature, but have varied interests also. I'm new here, since Oct. 2005 and am anxious to meet other people with the same interests.
- For those of you who don't have a profile, I thought I might offer a way to get you started by asking a few questions: What level photographer do you consider yourself. What subject matter do you like to shoot. How did you get started in photography?

I got my first taste for photography at 6. My cousin was developing and printing his film in our bathroom. He bought my first camera when I was 7. I got serious in 1979, then put it down for 20 years and just started back up in 2000 with digital

“ I'm excited about this Meetup group and am looking forward to having a more active group and a lot of fun together. This is a great way to meet new friends, and for us ladies, we don't have to feel afraid because we're alone and carrying all this expensive camera equipment. There's no need to go out to shoot alone anymore. There is always someone else who can go with you. Of all the events I've attended, only 2 were a bust, so that's not bad at all. We've all shared tips and techniques, we've captured some great shots, and got our exercise to top it all off. I'm looking forward to meeting those I haven't met already at future events. ”

“ I am so glad I decided to go to the meet-up last night in Safety Harbor. The cameras in tow by the 25 people present were from the entire spectrum and I look forward to learning first hand from many of the users. I did learn a good bit from Jen and Jim as we shot near the fountain and from the gardens. I had such a good time and hope to see you again next week. ”
