Introduction
Hey everyone, my name is Shayan. I'm from Paris, France, but originally Indian, and moved to San Jose in 2005. I love photography (duh... ;-), and shoot with a Canon EOS 40D and a couple of lenses, my favorite being the 50mm 1.8 I.
Who is your favorite photographer? and why?
Henri Cartier-Bresson... of course... the king of street photography ! Seriously, Leica Rangefinders and 50mm lenses all the way, babe !
Budget is not an issue, what would be your favorite rig? and why?
Canon 1Ds Mark III, with a 50mm 1.2 L. I'm a Canon freak, and this camera is the best, full frame, weather sealed, super fast... and I like street photography, and I find 50mm to suit perfectly for that purpose. Although Hasselblad might be nice too!
What do you hope to get out of the group
Meet like minded photo fiends... and get more opportunities to shoot in a group. More fun that way !
