Photographer's Tour of Gilroy Yamato Hot Springs
a 150-yr old resort & historic landmark!

Once the romping grounds of the Bay Area elite since 1866, GYHS has been closed to the public for 47 years. This historic landmark features a mineral well, 20 structures in varying degrees of aging (cabins, bathhouses, shrine, footbridge, pools), mature manzanita grove, bamboo, an 80-yr-old sequoia.

This event supports FOGHS preservation and restoration efforts and supports State Parks.

Participants are invited to contribute images to FOGHS for promotional materials and a benefit auction.

Registration: $20 per person by Saturday, October 17th, 8pm.
Professional photographers pay $65 more for Parks fees if images are for commercial purposes.
Late registrations on site allowed at higher price ($30) -- be sure to arrive before 7:45 a.m.

You are welcome to bring canopy & chairs along with your picnic lunch.
Release forms and Park Guidelines will be emailed.

How to get there: Gilroy, exit Leavesley, turn toward the Outlet Stores (east); turn Left on New Avenue (the 2nd road), then Right on Roop Road (the 2nd road). Turn Left on Gilroy Hot Springs Road and continue to the end.
You'll pass Coyote Reservoir, Canada Rd, and Hunting Hollow. We'll meet at the Bridge, which will be open at 7:45 a.m. and close behind us at 8:05, then open again to let us out at noon.
