Meetup Groups meet face-to-face to pursue hobbies, network, get support, make friends, find playgroups or even change the world!
Get on the Internet to get off the Internet!
You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
Let's meet our old friends at the Crossroads Cafe for a nibble and sip after work!
We'll talk about our Photographic New Adventures while looking at each other's work.
As this venue is a bit loud, don't expect a "talk" or"speech" or "shoot"; but rather to chat, mingle, review one another's work and discuss our photo opportunities.
Please bring your book(s), your portfolio or marketing, new toy and to share with the group.
Bring an image that inspires you... one that you really want to make...
Maybe you don't know how, or need someone to go with you to hold a reflector or light.
Maybe you need extra hotshoe strobes to make it happen, perhaps you need input on a good place/light/time/prop.
Maybe you want to know how someone made their awesome photo...
nows your chance to find out.
Don't have a book yet? Bring a Print!
Come be inspired to make a book, see what others have done and learn how you can build your own!
Don't have a Print?
Bring and image (magazine or book, printed off the web?) that inspires you - One that you want to learn to make!
As the weather is warming up we will get back to our shooting Meetups soon!
We'll let you know when the time is right.
For now, Crossroads Cafe, directions here:
Cafe in a bookstore at the End of Delancy Street, note, there is generally parking.
Delancy is crossed by Brannan and just off the Embarcadero.
From S Bay: Exit 280 at 6th St, follow 6th two blocks and turn right on Brannan St. Keep driving, it's a long ways... Delancy is the last street on the Right from the Embarcadero.
From E Bay: Exit @ 5th St and turn LEFT onto 5th. Follow for two bocks and turn Left at Brannan St, follow to Delancy Street and turn Right.
Muni: Take the N-Juda or the T/K link. Exit Townsend Station, walk toward the Clock Tower and look for a Cafe called "Towns End" in neon... Crossroads has the little grassy gated area directly across from this cafe... look for the small bookstore at the end of the block in the cul-de-sac, that's the cafe!
Be sure to say "Hey, Thanks!" to the staff that let us hang out!
Plan to grab a bite here, they have light snacks, dinners and deserts along with assorted beverages.
Nice place to relax and mull over this photo stuff
