Hi all,

My daughter & I are trying to find any information (pictures, articles, etc)
on the Conway Junction Railroad Turntable (Jewett Station, Maine) in South
Berwick Maine. The B & M tables show the location to be Jewett, Maine.

We live around the corner from this site (Site #88003001 in the National
Historic Register). We thought we might be able to find some information in
the local libraries but have found very little information.

Here is what the sign reads at the site:
"Brock's Crossing Junction - Boston to Portland and White Mountains.

1855 - Conway Junction Station
1910 - changed to Jewett Station
1840 - Portland, Saco, & Portsmouth
1866 - Great Falls & Conway
1870 - Portland, Saco, & Portsmouth
1884 - Eastern sold to Boston & Maine
1908 - Turntable rebuilt
1952 - All lines abandoned"

We have located photos of the old Jewett station in a few books. There were
credits for two different collections than I cannot find any information on:

Raymond E. Tobey Collection
Robert Outland Collection

What started as a school project for my daughter has become an obsession for
me. I think we might have collected enough information and pictures
(pictures we took of the granite) for her project. However, I am not going
to rest until I have compiled some kind of information (time tables,
pictures, employees, etc).

I am interested in any kind of leads: Other places to look, other
lists/newsgroups/etc, museums, etc..

Thank you in advance,

-=Glen=-
&& Miranda!
