Join us for a walk through Wapping via the Thames Path. The Thames Path past the Tower of London is a treasure worth seeking out with many great River views and Interesting Architecture.

We will start at the Liberty Bounds near The Tower for Breakfast and after walk along the outside of the Tower to St Katherines Dock with its Great shops and Millionaires boats.

When we have had our fill we can then venture along the Thames Path towards the Prospect of Whitby the area is steeped in History and although the warehouses have been turned into expensive flats there is a charm with many alleys leading down to the river and hopefully if the tide is out a chance of some "Mudlarking". Also you may want to visit Tobacco Dock to see the old pirate ships. We have secured the Prospect of Whitby (which is one of London's most Historic Pubs

http://www.pubs.com/p... ) for lunch and our exclusive use for the afternoon where you can sample its wonderful fayre and drink. If you want you can use the pub as a base if you want to explore further down the Thames Path.

I hope you can join us for what hopefully will be a great day.

Chris.

I enjoyed the instruction from Tom at the fountain. I used the rest of he day to practice what he had covered. I will be checking the results when I get the images onto the Macintosh.

The Prospect of Whitby really blew it when it came to timely delivery of lunch orders. We ordered at 13:38. At 15:00 we had to cancel. Speaking to the staff they expected the group to be spread out over 3 hours. As we ordered before the majority had arrived it does not explain a 90 minute wait for mains. As someone else said, they are clearly trading on their name and not they ability to deliver.

A pleasant and interesting walk down a part of the Thames that I've never been before. Waiting till the tide was out and it was possible to walk along the riverside made my day though and most of my "keepers" were taken on the beaches.
    •  Once again the organisers did a super job, ( as usual ) I can't wait until the next meet.
