The "before" meeting place
10:00am - 11:00am @ Pacific Cinémathèque (map)
...Anyone who wants to start as a group, meet me at the entrance to Pacific Cinémathèque, at 1131 Howe between Davie & Helmcken.

The "after" meeting place
1:00pm - 3:00pm @ Wings on Granville (map)
...Not sure exactly what time the parade will end, but come afterwards to Wings on Granville, at 1162 Granville just north of Davie, to fill your stomach, quench your thirst, and exchange photo stories of the great one you got or the even better one that got away.

Parade Details
The 2008 Parade will begin at 11:00am at Howe & Davie and march north on Howe Street, turning right at Smithe St. onto Granville St. The parade will then march south on Granville Street ending at Drake and Granville Street around 1:30pm.

The parade website says:

"Parade goers will be in for a treat when more than 2,000 participants take to the streets! Expect lots of great performers, multi cultural floats, famous marching bands, civic bands and groups, clowns, stilt walkers, antique vehicles, horses, Irish wolfhounds, and much much more! This year, there will also be a surprise in the skies, so keep your eyes peeled above too!"

"Arrive early and catch the free entertainment on the Street Market Stage at 10 am. And after the parade, be sure to visit the Celtic Village where there'll be plenty of Celtic treasures to discover as well as free Celtic bands and family entertainment throughout the day (and Saturday)."

"Put on your best green attire, grab your friends and family and join us for the greenest celebration in Vancouver!"

I was at the parade, but not with the group - family came first! ... good event, longer and better than last year!

I'll make the "before". I'm not sure if I can just stay for a few minutes for the parade.
