It's Tennessee State Fair time! This means lots of food, rides, lights, and livestock! You can find it all at the Tennessee State Fair. We can get very creative with our photography at the fair. There is so much to see. What I would like to see is some of the "off the beaten path" things such as pie eating contests, livestock competitions, grilling and cooking contests, etc. Not to mention that the lights at night make for some pretty amazing motion shots! I can't wait to see what you get!

FREE PARKING

If historic events were ranked like historic sites, the Tennessee State Fair would be very close to the top of the list! Each year, the Tennessee State Fair features great educational and entertaining exhibits, livestock, agricultural, and creative arts competitions for blue ribbons and more than $200,000 in premiums money.

Experience the largest midway company in the country, racing pigs, mule pulling, cow milking, sorghum making, grilling and cooking competitions, all the silly photo fun in the Family Fun Zone and new this year; Kids Country.

Take a trip through time in Volunteer Village. Challenge your brother, sister, mother or father in Wii bowling, or get a family feud of guitar hero organized. This year promises to be one of the best family gatherings in State Fair history with great food, and great times at a great value!

Greetings, I will have a table inside the creative arts building and will have some of my work their available for sale. Please make sure you come by and say, 'hi' while you are at the fair. Also, I am told there will be a suggestion box on how to make the photography contest even better. So please don't hesitate to leave your suggestions!

I posted a few pics from the Wilson County Fair as examples of what can be taken at the TN State Fair. If you want to delete after the TN State Fair pics are posted, that's fine with me! LOL Oh the possibilities! Love the fair! :)

Several of us went to the Wilson County Fair and had a blast taking pics! Will the media badge be good for the 19th only, and how early can we pick it up? Sounds very cool! Thanks, Wendy!

I just received an invitation from Chrysty Fortner with the Tennessee State Fair for us to have an indoor meeting room for our group. This will give us a place to meet, talk, and cool off. She is also offering us 20 media badges for the first twenty MEMBERS to committ to this meetup. The media badge will not give you free admission into the gates, but it will give you full access to anywhere you want to go inside the fairgrounds, including the roller girls show, and tractor pulls, etc.
