Sorry I missed you guys at the zoo. I got lost and was about 45 minutes late (my car and GPS were in the shop). I saw a lot of camera but I couldn't tell who was in the group. My fault for being late. Cheers.

I really wish I could attend tomorrow but we have out of town guests coming in for the weekend. Maybe next trip. Hope you all have a great day for shooting. Donna Kaye

Don't forget to go up to the farm... The gardens are in full bloom now and would make for gorgeous photo ops... (Plus there's an old cemetery back there!)

I work in Gallatin until noon that day. Wonder if it would be worth the effort to drive the distance and pay the fee, starting 2 hours late?

If you have a off shoe cord for your flashes, you can get some good shots of the snakes and reptiles behind the glass if you can angle the flash just right.

    •  This meetup was fun! I've been to this zoo dozens of times, so I really wasn't looking forward to more zoo pictures, but we surprisingly found interesting things to shoot! I am pleased!
    •  I like the zoo, but its hilly.
    •  Had a really great time with you all even though I didn't get to spend much time with everyone but did get to walk around with David and Dan B (and family) a bit. Ended up spending the day with someone, Richard I believe was his name, who was not even from Nashville just happened to be there, I introduced myself as he was carrying a lot of equipment but he knew none of the group.
    •  There were a lot of new members at this meetup. I arrived before the scheduled 10 meetup time and several members entered the zoo before I had a chance to get meet them. Would have been nice to get to say hi to everyone!

It was fun. I do wish there was an easier way to tell who was in the group.
    •  Very guest-friendly, but most animals would be more active (photogenic) during cooler months. Excellent venue, though.
    •  The zoo is a great place to get some nice shots. It does get somewhat crowded on days like today but many of the animals are camera hogs and seem to position themselves right in front of the camera. Others are a little more reserved, preferring to stay in the back or more shadowy areas of their enclosures. All in all, a great time!
