Where is winthrop??

Whatever your tastes or interests, whether you're in search of passive or active diversions, Winthrop offers a variety of things to do and see.

Jog, walk or bike the 2 ½ mile Deer Island oceanside path. Admire the majestic Victorian homes in Cottage Park. Shop or have a bite to eat in picturesque French Square. Swim and sunbathe at Winthrop Beach. Go for a nature walk at Belle Isle Marsh. Stroll along and take in the salt air at Crystal Cove. Bring your boat into one of our marinas or yacht clubs. See a show at the Winthrop Playhouse, the award-winning community theater. Whatever you choose to do, I know you'll enjoy yourself. Because it is now where I live and Love it to max!

Winthrop is a small tiny peninsula literally 11 minutes to downtown Boston!

Lets meet around 3pm at the Orient heights ( blue line) Train station . If you are driving don't park your car in the parking lot since you may be giving rides to those members without a vehicle ( PLEASE as you rsvp mention if you are bringing a car ) . Now if you are taking the train also mention as you rsvp that you have No car since we would like to see if we can accommodate all the "yes's"!

You will be be following me to a few fun destinations ! It's a surprise!

    I've been to Winthrop on many,many occasions - I live right down the road in East Boston. Great sunset shots from Deer Island and around the Yacht Clubs and boat launches.. small beaches in the area also

    I just dropped my camera and I have to get it repaired tomorrow... If I can still make the meeting I will call. Else, I will have it privately with B someday again :P Last time I was there it was so dreamy, watching the plane coming in and out from boston.

    Hey all... There was no maybe option but I will probably be able to make this trip. Just not sure if I'll have a car or not. Also is there a phone number I could have in case I can't find people? I'm new to this... this will be my first meet. Also I'm from Winthrop and know it well. It's only about one square mile haha. Lots of coastal views.
