Cap off your weekend with a stroll along part of Boston's inner harbor. We'll split the "Boston proper" stretch of the Harborwalk into two sections -- downtown waterfront one Sunday, Fort Point another -- and explore all the nooks and crannies of Boston's waterfront. These walks should offer a chance to shoot people, harbor/boats, architecture, recreation, abstracts, old crumbling stuff -- a bit of everything!

Sunday May 11 we'll do the downtown Boston "leg" of the walk -- from Christopher Columbus park, we'll walk south along the Harborwalk, across the Northern Ave. Bridge, and end at the Barking Crab (how convenient ;-)

Meet at the fountain in Christopher Columbus Park. On this map, look for the fountain between points F and H.

From the Harborwalk web site:

"Two hundred years ago, most of the wharves of Downtown Boston were busy mooring areas, where clipper ships from around the world brought goods to and from Boston Harbor. Today, the HarborWalk along Boston's Downtown and North End are dominated by a vibrant mix of cultural and recreational resources, parks and open spaces, and residential and business uses. The HarborWalk that stretches from the elegant Boston Harbor Hotel along the Downtown wharves to Puopolo Park in the North End is some of the most well maintained and highly visited in the city. Whether visiting with penguins at the New England Aquarium, strolling among the wisteria in Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park, or taking a dip in the Mirabella Pool, this portion of the HarborWalk is certain to entertain and delight."
