We'll meet at the Oak Grove T stop on the Orange Line for a 4 mi loop hike in the Eastern Fells, the Rock Circuit trail. While it can be walked in 3-4 hours, we'll pack a lunch and make it a leisurely day trip with plenty of photo stops.
This rugged and rocky trail offers the best views in the Middlesex Fells. Living up to its name, it is very rocky and offers rewarding but rugged hiking. Be advised the trail has some rocky ledges and scrambles. This is no White Mountains, but please ask if you are unsure if this is a hike for you. As I recall, we will walk past a stream, pond, and have views of the city skyline and hills of Medford.
