Join in with us at Your Special Image Photography Studio in Skillman, for a 5 week photography course, beginning May12 and 13, held both Tues and Wed evenings from 7-9pm, each class is $25.00. We encourage you to attend all 5 WEEKLY sessions in this series with a prepaid discount of 20%.

Class begins at 7:30pm sharp and runs 90 minutes. We will discuss in depth one Main topic per week you choose which day to attend that fits your schedule. Week One: Tues May 12 or Wed May 13
Topic: Exposure Part 1: Concentration on Aperture – creative focus & depth of field Week Two: Tues May 19 or Wed May 20
Topic: Exposure Part 2: Concentration on Shutter Speed – taking better sports shots Week Three: Tues May 26 or Wed May 27
Topic: Exposure Part 3: Concentration on ISO – using ISO, aperture and shutter speed to achieve the right exposure. Also, creative perspective and composition techniques – how to make YOUR shots look different. Week Four: Tues June 2 or Wed June 3
Topic: Focus, white balance and low light photos – taking better photos at family events Week Five: Tues June 9 or Wed June 10
Topic: JPG & Raw – when to use each. Also, workflow and post editing basics – discussion of software tools. We’ll be covering many of the basics behind taking better pictures. If you have invested in a nice camera but still shoot on Auto, this class is for you. Learn how to control your camera to get the most out of your images. We’ll be talking about aperture, shutter speed, composition, perspective, focus, light and other fundamentals to help you move from taking snapshots to creating great images.
Family parties, sports, landscapes and vacation photos can all be improved with these techniques. After some instruction, you will be practicing what you learned at our beautiful location with indoor and outdoor shooting opportunities.
With everyone’s busy schedules, we offer you a choice of either attending on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings, from 7-9pm each week to fit your schedule. Each weekly instructional class is $25. Each class will build on the one before but it’s not required to attend all if you prefer to choose specific topics that you would like to know more about. Although mostly geared towards SLR cameras, it’s not required. However, to take full advantage of the course, it would be good if your camera allows for full manual control, which is included in some point and shoot cameras. If there is interest, we can also discuss camera choices if you are thinking about purchasing a new camera. We encourage you to attend all 5 WEEKLY sessions in this series with a prepaid discount of 20%.

I have been a Jersey Girl my entire life as well as a Wedding, Family and Children Portrait Photographer, hence the name.
