Introduction: Hi, I am new to California. Moved here from Florida 8 months ago. Now that I am more settled in, it's time to meet people in my new home town with similar interests. I picked up the camera as a more optune art form thn my previous media glass. I am h
My all-time favorite shot (so far)...: The one I posted in my photos. It was taken the first time i ever visited a winery here in california. It was in Senoma valley. I was walking the grounds and looked across the courtyard and saw the layers of beauty starting with lavender to the grapes to the mountains....they all seemed so different but belonged together... I love that shot.
My photography style could be defined as...: Color, with an occassional dabble in B&W, nature.
I first fell in love with photography...: I got a camera about a year ago....and the first time I took it out really was on a kyack trip....my partner did all the paddling as I played with al the sttings and took a bazillion pictures. When we got home we went thru them all (love digital) and there was one that I was going to toss because it was blurry. but my friend made me take another look at it from a different perspective....OMG, it looked like a Monet painting. I had it printed on canvas.....and it is actually my all time favorite shot.... a mistake....but my little master piece.
My experience includes...: I am a novice....but I have a professional photographer that has befriended me. He liked my work well enough to take me under his wing a bit and let me help him on projects....opportunity to learn.....
My gear includes...: Cannon power shot digital..... looking to upgrade very very soon
