Wild Animal Park

This is a multi-group meeting. Let's go meet the folks from San Diego!

Spring is here and so are the Butterflies and Orchids, and it is time for us to head to the beautiful Wild Animal Park and check them out.

We will meet at the entrance of the Wild Animal Park at 8:45 a.m. and enter the Park at 9:00 a.m. sharp. Please be punctual. (You can call me, Mark on my cell if you are late and I will tell you where we are: 310-666-6676)

This time we will make straight for the butterfly exhibit, so that we will be the first ones there. Afterwards we will walk around the Park as usual. We will break for a picnic lunch around noon at our usual favorite spot near lovely Guano Island. As the food at the Park is barely tolerable and also prohibitively expensive, I suggest you pack your own lunch and beverage and also bring a hat, sunscreen and other San Diego outdoor gear. During our last photo shoots at the Park last year, we walked an average of about six miles, so comfortable shoes are a good idea. Admission to the Park is $28.50 for non-members and free for members. Parking is $6 per vehicle for members, $9 for nonmembers. Diamond members park free. If anyone is interested in a photographer's tour, let me know! I'm in for anything - but this'll cost ya about $100 more.

Important announcements: If there are any members who have a pass and can get a non-member in for free, please indicate so in your RSVP, so that those needing a pass. Through the generosity of several members this has been very useful on numerous occasions.
