« It's not just a matter of being in the right spot at the right moment; it's a matter of knowing where that spot is in case the moment takes place » Marc Riboud.
Musée de la vie romantique presents "L’instinct de l’instant” (The instinct of the moment), a 50 years retrospective exhibition of rare vintage and contemporary photographic prints on the work of the French photographer Marc Riboud, one of the great names of Magnum.
Travel photos, portraits or personnal pictures, from Morocco to Afghanistan or in Tokyo, Marc Riboud has the instinct of composition and always the adequate detail. "It’s close and at the same time very far », said Henri Cartier-Bresson about Riboud’s work. A good definition of the instinct of the moment or how to capture the imperceptible.
