This Sunday marks the celebration of the Fete de Ganesh, the Hindu diety who is worshiped as the lord of beginnings and as the lord of obstacles, patron of arts and sciences, and the god of intellect and wisdom!! The temple Sri Manicka Vinayakar in the 18eme celebrates with a morning of ceremonies and then a parade through the quartier! Last year's parade was a spectacular photo opportunity & I am sure that this year's will be a colorful event as well!

Let's meet between 10h00 at Metro La Chapelle (Ligne 2) and walk north towards the temple on rue Philippe de Girard. The religious ceremonies begin in the temple at 09h00 and the parade starts at 11h00. It is going to be crowded, so expect to be jostled. I hope you can join us!
