You have a camera or are planning to get one soon. Things change rapidly .. what to expect next? Phones now are cameras and computers are almost small enough to wear on the wrist. Or, you bought Kodak and Polaroid stock & want some reassurance!

Details

The restaurant is across from Northwoods Mall (off Rivers onto Eagle Landing Blvd) and has a meeting space set aside for us. The room will have a horseshoe-shaped table to make conversation easier, better and face-to-face. A notebook/video projector will be on hand so either bring your favorite shots burned to a CD/DVD or simply plan to enjoy seeing what others have been doing.

The SC Photographers Guild has issued its schedule of local "camera field trips" for all of 2008. Experts can be invited to come to talk about digital changes and the internet. Citizen journalism (blogging) can be discussed by print journalists. The newest innovations can be explained in layman's terms by people who know what they are talking about.

Digital cameras get more powerful and smaller and ...the yet, the price keeps dropping. Find out what to look for when you shop. What computer and/or printer should be your own personal darkroom/film processor? Are there film developers still out there? Custom labs?

Or it might just turn out to be a good monthly social event.

Come and give your input. Bring your camera for a lively "Show and Tell." Oh, and be sure to RSVP. It helps the planning process.

I have reported to MeetUp.com that they are showing TWO versions of our meeting. I asked them to ONLY use the one which includes the actual date (March 12, April 9, etc.) It appears that some have submitted follow-up comments to this version. Please send them again to the March 12 site. Pain in the butt I know but I am asking them to eliminate THIS confusing, duplicate site. Sorry for the inconvenience and confusion! Organized Chuck
