Something not too far away.

I know this is the MID Michigan photo group but is there any possible way we can have photo excursions at parks closer to Novi? (That's where I'm from.) What about Kensington State Park, or Maybury State Park, Brighton State?

Those places are much closer for me in Canton. Kensington has the lake, trails, wild flowers, mt. bike trail. walking trails in the woods. I once saw a bald eagle flying over head in the park! plenty of deer and other wildlife to shoot. Lots of people roller skating and just walking around! Wide range of choice for shooting many kinds of pictures.

Anita, There are a number of people in your area. I say put it on the calendar and see who else is interested. As an assistnt organizer you can do that.

It would probably need to be a holiday weekend for me to go.

My calendar already has a lot of filled days. I just have to many hobbies! Just pick a day like Scott says and see who can make it. Everyone is so busy these days. I go alone alot to shoot pictures , but it more fun with a buddy or a group. It also makes you watch how others compose a picture . Great way to learn.
