Here's the Agenda for our first meeting:

1. Housekeeping: Make sure we are all amateurs and that we all have a digital camera
2. Discuss our level of photographic expertise, and decide how we can use our talent to help others in our group improve.
3. Get to know one another, and exchange contact information if appropriate.
4. Develop a mission statement for the group, as well as our vision for the future.
5. Discuss meeting format, when to have photo shoots, when we will meet to critique, how we will share our work, etc. Is there a textbook on digital photography that we would want to use as a guide, or would we ask the professionals among us to share their expertise with us.
6. Decide if there should be a "per meeting" charge, or an "annual" charge.
6. Plan the next meeting. Will it be a photoshoot or a sit-down session? Where will we meet and what will we do?
7. Adjourn.

I enjoyed meeting everybody! I like to photograph murals (the kind that are painted on indoor or outdoor walls). Does anybody have suggestions where I can find some in the Atlanta area?

This was a small but enthusiastic group of charter members, who are really engaged and excited about what the group will be doing in the future.

Who attended?

    •  This first meeting was everything I wanted it to be. All were amateur photographers who wanted to learn more and do more. They were interested in each other and enthusiastic about the plans we made for the future.
    •  Ron did a great job of organizingand conducting the meeting!
    •  Nice group of people. I'm looking forward to doing the photo shoot next month, if I can get up early enough!
