Hello, finally posting here...

Hello all! I like to lurk here alot, and finally got the time to post:) Feel free to check out my site...www.showstylephotos.com, which is undergoing a major overhaul right now, please excuse the mess:)

Yes, horses are my main passion...but I'm finding out that I LOVE shooting sports:)

Wish I could come to the track...but alas, I'm taking my horse to Oregonia Ohio to the horsie chiropractor:) Don't laugh...he works wonders!

I hope to learn alot from the great photographers on this board. Has anyone taken the sports photog class offered at UC? A friend and I are thinking of taking it...

Hi Nikki...Glad to see you post. My first thought when I saw that you had posted was if you made it to the Rolex. I did not go and was disappointed. I had a good time last year.

NO jumping for me...I've had back surgery:) I ride what's called "western pleasure", which is a very demanding class, even though the name doesn't imply that! My 4 yr old horse was pushed too hard as a youngster and now is fighting a multitude of physical issues.

I will be shooting some polo matches at the horse park this summer, and for those of you who like to shoot horses, the Alexandria Fair over Labor Day can't be beat...there is even a ton of night classes to practice shooting in the dark with those crazy lights and the fast action...maybe we should do a meetup then:)
