This group was created because real learning is practice combined with instruction. Since ninety percent of photography is taking the photos, that is what we will practice. We collectively strive to create a group of well-educated photographers from all walks of life who are always learning and teaching each other. Our focus is on shooting, not on classroom style teaching. We intend to learn from each other as we shoot together. This group is open to anyone interested in photography.

Gateway Ski Club was founded in the 1987 by individuals in the St Louis area that shared an interest in Nordic pursuits. Since that time the group has grown to over 300 members nationwide. The club typically takes 3 winter trips annually, two in North America and one in Europe. Gateway Ski Club is made up of varying types of winter sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
